Volunteering Opportunities
If you can spare the time and energy, volunteering in your local community’s a fantastic way to make a real difference. This page lists organisations - in Auckland and in Aotearoa New Zealand more widely - currently looking for volunteers, both in-person and remotely.
Student Volunteer Army
You don’t actually have to be a student to help out with the S.V.A! They’re taking in anyone aged 16 and above in various roles. These include delivering groceries to people in need, helping assess incoming volunteers, or, for those in self-isolation, helping out with their call centres from home. Volunteering NZ
Volunteering NZ has various resources on its website for people looking for volunteering opportunities during the COVID-19 crisis. There’s information available on regional volunteer centres, which can connect you with organisations in your area looking for volunteers, as well as online or remote-based volunteering opportunities.
Sport Auckland ActivAsian
Sport Auckland ActivAsian is an organisation which aims to give young Asian New Zealanders the opportunity to get involved in the sporting community via volunteering.
