Get involved with our projects

Roskill Together is looking for local ethnic community groups to participate in the 2024/2025 Puketāpapa Global Friends Meetup Programme.

This meetup programme aims to facilitate cross-cultural interaction and learning among diverse ethnic community groups. Attendees will introduce their culture and language to others, teach and learn fun cultural activities, and share kai.

Details:

  • The meetup will be 3-3.5 hours (Dates TBC).

  • Looking for 10-15 participants per local ethnic community group. With four different groups meeting up to share about their own culture, and learning that of others.

  • Participation will be through a buddy system (i.e. participants will be seated in a group of four, made up of one member of each local ethnic community group).

  • Each participant will receive a bilingual information booklet, including all groups shared cultural information. However, participants will need to be able to understand basic English.

  • Participants must be open to learning and trying new things.
