Do Good Feel Good Project

This “Do Good Feel Good” in Puketāpapa/ Mt Roskill initiative is challenging local groups whether they be a group of neighbours, a school, a faith-based group, a sports club, an environmental group, or an established community group to come up with a project that will reduce carbon emissions or increase resilience in the community. The initiative encourages local people and groups to think about how they can take climate action and will give them the opportunity to make this a reality through the funding of their project ideas. It will also encourage community members to be environmentally responsible citizens and potentially change their behaviors relating to carbon emissions.

Project impact

This initiative is expected to result in an increased local participation and awareness in carbon reduction possibilities, reduction in carbon emissions and improved community resilience through implementation of the proposed small-scale community-led projects.

This is a pilot programme that builds a foundation to develop larger scale carbon reduction and community resilience projects that can seek funding from the climate fund. For example, the establishment of a programme and network of swap meets/events.
